Silhouette is important in character design and can be used as an aspect to make it more unique when the concept isn't. It is also important for targeting the audience you want. In your second batch, the silhouette is especially baggy and has unflattering proportions. If you want it to be more sexy, then choose clothes or proportions that complement the body best. Cuter characters have baggier clothes, but still have nice proportions. The shape of the skirts and the big jacket and sleeves obscure the body and don't have very eyecatching proportions. If you want to exaggerate one thing a lot, I suggest making other things smaller or not there at all. I made a quick sketch of a design that I think has a more unique and appealing silhouette. Design is really difficult and there's a lot of things to consider that you don't even think of but affect the overall impression by a lot. I'm rooting for you anon! Hope to see you thrive.

I don't use csp but u should be able to click filter somewhere and adjust the brightness until it's black. Alternatively, you can make a new layer and use clipping above the lineart to color it however you want. Usually I use brown lineart and it's better for cuter, softer colors.

Most of the time people should follow this but there are few and rare times when apologizing actually does something. Take for example the Veibae and Kiara debacle, the clip of Vei shittalking Holo and the girls came out and instead of acknowledging she didn't know what she was talking about back then, that she changed her mind about the girls after growing close to Kiara and maybe even apologizing for making assumptions about them, she went Streissand and started DMCAing and trying to get that clip deletedd off the internet, and when that didn't pan out she blamed Kiara and dipped out.

The other thing I've been doing is scheduling tweets with clips of my stream, so that I never have a dead-day. If it was clipped by a viewer, tag them and thank them.

There was a recent thread I found that was a 'which stats are you struggling to hit affiliate with', and everyone there is now following each other.

What I've found is embrace the scuff.

I make REALLY shitty edits of memes with my PNG overlaid. And then post them where relevant. I get a chunk of traction from each one, especially if I'm not obnoxious with the tagging.

3 - connect with the streamers and viewers in those streams
4 - when you're well liked and accepted, casually drop something about your stream "oh hey I streamed this game a while back, it's a real good one, you're going to like this!"
don't post links and never say you're going live with #4 and only say it when you actually have a good rapport with the streamer and are recognized as a regular in their chat

you don't 'have' to, but you're entering a field where it's all about having an audience. you can't get viewers if they don't know you exist. with how big the internet is, it's basically impossible for people to stumble upon your content organically

>> No.6680398

For all the twitter whiners, twitter is only as bad as who you follow. Your content is (mostly) curated by what the people you like, like and retweet (but you can also use browser extensions to turn off seeing their likes). If you don't follow twitter drama whores then you won't *see* the twitter drama whores. If someone on your follow promotes the twitter drama, quietly either mute them or unfollow them. Curate your feed.

But its useful for communication purposes. Rather than checking a bunch of different emails that get spammed with all types of nonsense, people can just check your twitter and see relevant information easily like your schedule, if you're on hiatus, if a stream was delayed, any images you've posted, etc...

I mean considering the massive amount of drama in the vtuber community surrounding a bunch of sociopathic narcissists, this is a given.

I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting attention as well as entertaining others, but I see a lot of VTubers becoming increasingly horny and slutty because they completely lack personality or charm. I'm not saying you can't be sexy, I'm just saying it ain't no replacement for being actually entertaining.

Fiverr is alright for finding artists, it's just finding one with a style you like that can be a problem. On the other hand, might be worth using a cheap shitty artist there (five dollar sketch level) to get a composite base for your first sketch, and then you can pass that on to a better artist.

I found an artist I kind of liked, and they did my avatar, but they kind of uglified the end-point. I went and found a cheery anime artist, and got them to make a much cheerier version. So I now have 'dark mode' and 'light mode' avatar, and I can switch between them depending on what I'm doing.

VTubing is terrible for making it famous or even making money. You're essentially trying to be an actor here. Most of us are just in it for the hobby and because we enjoy it, trying to get into it for money is a recipe for being a miserable failure.
I'm just trying to join the local theater club essentially and maybe at most get in on the local rendition of cats.

I'm looking at vTubing like any other hobby. In fact, it's pretty much replaced Warhammer for my time. So any cash I would have spent on WH, by virtue of not being spent, is a profit.

Being a chuuba has still cost me more than not having any hobby, but not much because I'm still only pngTubing, and doing my own scuffed overlays.

It's also a nice escape from working in finance. I always wanted to work in the arts, but my drama coach in college told me I'd 'grow into my looks'. Then I was in an accident that means I won't

Vtubing in general for /asp/ies is very focused on networking and making yourself visible to start off with.

I can't count the number of times i've seen debut streams get a ton of viewers and all sorts of fellow "friend" vtubers show up, then when that debut streamer actually starts streaming for real none of those people who turned up show up every again. It's extremely leechy and comes across as fake and being used.

At the end of the day (You) as a chuuba are in direct competition with everyone who streams at the same times as you since most people can only really focus on one stream. Make sure people choose you over the competition and don't just try to go for that fake unity shit under the guise of le wholesome making friends. Also don't join discords, they are cancer circlejerks.

Twitch is definitely better for small streamers.

Dedicated VTuber tag, Raids, lots of fun ways for your audience to interact with your stream through plugins, etc.

It's not surprising that a lot of people are opting for the vtubing route rather than just as a facecam streamer. I would guess the only "downsides" are that it's not for everyone and you can limit your audience due to the anime appearence. Don't forget that some edge kids and manchildren still think it's cool to hate on anime so you lose that audience but that's a good thing.
