Mel leaked business critical information to her friends so that they could buy and sell stock. Being a publicly traded company, this is highly illegal and grounds for immediate termination which explains why she did not have a suspension and they skipped immediately to firing her on short notice.

The only thing that would be decent evidence for the rrat is if she goes a long time without posting on her RM account. Would mean she's in prison. Either way, I like this rrat because the thought of fucking Mel of all people doing insider trading is hilarious.

The fact that getting publicly fired was the preferable option for Mel means that she could have stayed, but faced something worse.
Criminal prosecution for Insider trading would be that.

>>66847388
Also consider that she's been in Holo for a long time and has seen others before her get fired. she knows the rules enough not to leak retarded drama like Rushia, but perhaps the greed of selling trade information to her friends was enough to make her do it. Maybe she's had it on her mind for many years, but finally let better judgment get the best of her.

I don't believe it was malicious, more she was stupid and didn't think or know the information she leaked would be used for insider trading.
The fact she got to have a 'farewell' stream and Cover allowed her to still have a good bye tweet published after she was fired points in that direction.

>> No.66848563

>>66839950
She should literally be facing prison time for this.

>The fact that getting publicly fired was the preferable option for Mel means that she could have stayed, but faced something worse.
Not necessarily no, if she did break an NDA on even a technicality or relating to some non critical information than even that would be enough since they can't just selectively enforce their contracts. We don't know what that covers though, some anon's who mentioned working with jap companies talked about how they didn't trust that she'd done something deliberately harmful specifically because of their work experience. I've also worked in places that are ridiculously lax except for some weird instances so its not out of the question that Mel legitimately didn't know she leaked something or did anything wrong.

>> No.66849261

>>66848272
Also very plausible because she's not particularly known as an Einstein. She may have just said some stuff to a friend in passing and they passed on the info from there. Japanese regulators are extremely strict on insider trading when they find it (video related). If Mel leaked something inconsequential, she would have just been suspended. We know that it must have been a big deal if she was just outright fired without a graduation stream. Cover also made a statement about more training for their talents to ensure this doesn't happen again, which implies that whatever Mel did hasn't happened before.

>> No.66849448

>>66847388
Cover has no say as to whether someone gets prosecuted for insider trading and her staying or going would have no effect on it.

I can even speculate it could be a situation of "She was terminated, there's no need to continue further legal actions" as a way of saving her.

People don't realize you can literally end up in jail for breaching a NDA or with a huge fine, and just getting fired is the best case scenario.

It's like the leakers of genshin impact that then became surprised when Mihoyo threw them a lawsuit for a massive quantity of money for damages, and they could face jail time if not paid, all for "leaking future in game characters"

>> No.66849715

>>66849448
they can't let her stay after finding evidence of insider trading, they have to fire her. You don't just tell regulators "yeah she was engaged in insider trading, but we like her and let her stay"

>> No.66849875

>>66844861
but she actual IS really dumb

>> No.66851260

Unironically, the explanation that makes the most sense.

How did management found out about the NDA violation without the entire internet knowing? It really looks like someone did insider trading with info from Mel and spilled the beans after getting caught.

If it was anything smaller, they would just sweet things under the rug with graduation or downright look away.

>> No.66852065

Mel isn't smart enough to commit insider trading.

>> No.66852241

>>66849715
Sure, but it has no bearing on whether she'll be prosecuted. Insider trading isn't a crime against the company being traded, it's a crime against the public to profit from information no one else has access to.

>> No.66852588

That's retarded. Stock manipulation is a serious crime that cover would have to report to the authorities. It wouldn't be a "mutual agreement" to end the contract but a legal affair.
