With Selen and Pomu gone, there's nobody I watch in NijiEN anymore. They were the two who added a lot of magic into it for me. I'm more of a holofag and never actually followed the going-ons in Niji closely, but I tuned in for those two whenever I could. They helped me branch out and genuinely appreciate other companies outside of a bubble. Hope wherever she goes next treats her better, even though that's not a tall order at this point.

Pomu and Selen had to deal with a lot of arbitrarily cancelled projects and similar bs from management. In Selen's case, it came to a head when she released a song on Christmas day, then posted pic related later.
She hasn't streamed since that day. Other than a post two days after saying she had an accident and would be in the hospital, and one on New Year's Eve saying she was discharged, there's been nothing on her Niji account. Her appearance at Anime Impulse was cancelled, nobody seems to be talking about her (which presumably means they aren't being allowed to), and she didn't call in to Pomu's final totsu today or even have a message written for the slideshow even though they were close.
At first it was plausible that she was just taking time to recover from her accident, but now it just feels very strongly like either she's done with Niji or they're preparing to terminate her. Maybe both.

this discussion came up before but we also reached that stage where it is very hard to speak up as a core contributing member of the community if you are in fan discords or an artist or just a regular because of fear of being ostracize or dogpiled on. I've been watching vtubers for years and I always tried to stay away from the drama and rrats. Honestly I thought that people were exaggerating about how bad the company was and how incompetent management was but I finally opened my eyes and it's so sad, not only for Selen but also for any NijiEN member who suffered because of this.
