This…isn’t new. Vtubers usually don’t do that because their non-vtuber friends and family have to remember to call them by their vtuber name. I imagine it’s a pain in the ass, so only people who are good at it and willing to train themselves appear on their daughter/sister/friend’s stream.

The first thing that needs to happen is that the family members need to want to show up on stream.
That absolutely needs to happen before manager-san can set up the voice call/coach the family member so that they're used to calling them by their Hololive name instead of their IRL name/get perms for family member fanarts/prepare NDAs for the family member/etc.

We've seen the trial runs with Pekora, Mori and Gura, but Nerissa just gave us the more complete product, as long as your guest brings a good show and makes your oshi feel in a really casual ambient this will turn into a standard.
