If they can speak and read English, they're /here/, even if it's only just on occasion from ego-searching.

This place is a total paradox, where a chuuba will be up to their eyeballs in shitposts and contrarianism, yet with the occasional gem of genuine feedback if they're really looking for it.

Some chuubas just need to learn to develop a thicker skin, and to have the patience to bear with this place. Sure, it's a 'toxic' environment in a sense, but in small doses over time, a chuuba can quickly become immune to toxicity and venom if they stick around long enough.

If they're not careful, though, and they're too trusting of platforms like leddit or twatter, where it should practically be common knowledge by now that those platforms are dominated by botnets designed to manufacture fake consensus, they can get railroaded toward fatal yabs.

[Here at least, botnets aren't able to be all that potent, as success at manufacturing false consensus requires namefagging with a bunch of either machine-generated or hand-crafted-but-machine-controlled aliases.]

Twatter and leddit may well be useful for getting the word out and making connections, but past that, these platforms are pushing for shady shit on a regular basis.

I don't mind Selen not playing competitive multiplayer RTS. Some Starcraft players once challenged her (in her past) to play some custom games with them and she held her own, so she knows the game. But getting into the competitive meta would require dedication. I'd rather she spend that time on playing more fun RTS games she can dick around in like Red Alert 2/3 etc. RTS games are always the most fun when you are experimenting with your units, instead of optimizing your first 5-minute build order in an autisticly mechanical way. As Selen said, no one even asked to play Starcraft. So if she proves RTS games can be fun with an engaging story etc. other vtubers may start caring too.
