Beni VSpo here has pretty decent numbers, considering her subs and the time.

Noah just held onto 4-5k viewers for over 6 hours too.

Now obviously most of the VSpo girls are sub 1k a lot of the time, but they punch above their weight. It could just be because they go to bed at 7AM, so they are almost in the EU primetime for a lot of their major streams.r

I'm an intern working for Cover's overseas branch and from a friend who heard from his friend who her from her co-worker in JP heard that EN 2 is coming after all the anniversaries in August had concluded which is probably after the 17th. Baseball arc niji ends on the 13th and the Olympics ends on the 8th. There's really nothing holding them back from debuting EN 2 and JP 6. The post-buffs that attracted a lot of tourists from niji's baseball finals would likely see the new vtubers from Hololive. Else if they want to do it early, the only time they can do that is the week after miko's anniversary.

Rather than the character creation itself, I would think it's the "gacha" aspect of the new freshman's stats where the peak viewership is recorded. They were allowed to do some resets for their first group of freshmen, which prolonged the gacha aspect (leading to a higher peak viewership).

For example, if Kuzuha settled down with his first set of freshmen, his peak viewership would probably have settled down around 65k, but since he did reset twice, he reached ~78k viewers before it dropped as soon he entered the character creation section.

Due to the nature of their fanbase, nijis are more isolated than their nature as a single company would imply. That means the success of one niji doesn't spread to other nijis, and the phenomenon seen above when Mel gets an increase in viewers after haachama ended doesn't happen for nijis. It also contributes to the overall cliquish feel of nijisanji because individual members are afraid to mention others for fear of triggering those autists.
