Suisei is literally 2d. She's not real.

A single idol being good won't make the entire group good. On top of that, if she's too good to stay in a shitty group she will move on to a bigger/better one, meaning that the previous shitty group will stop existing since she was carrying them.

Suisei wouldn't have done well in an IRL idol group, members generally don't have control over their own music production and the emphasis is on group songs where she would have less of a chance to stand out because choreo is her weak spot.
Also building an idol group around one member is kind of what happened with Keyakizaka46 and Yurina Hirate/Techi and while they got big quickly things fell apart because she kept getting injured and the group couldn't function without her; after a bunch of members graduated she ended up leaving the group to go solo (which has meant more acting than music releases) and the whole group got rebranded to Sakurazakura46 so it wouldn't be stuck in her shadow permanently

If you made people listen to comet or her early covers in a vacuum they would never believe she's as big as she is now. That diamond took a while to polish and it's not hard to see why her early days were rough, and it's the fact that she grinded through it and came out shining on the other side that really won people's hearts over.
