Fauna runs on nostalgia bait and is steady enough, but two people are not nearly enough to carry a branch.
There's no korone with the weird sense of humor, attraction to gore and retro console gameplay (there probably never will be considering the west is more into emulation and holos can NEVER do that).
There's no Pekora who creates consistent comedic moments with almost every game she plays.

This is true sadly. After almost 4 years of HoloEN there still aren't any members on the same level as the JP first army member who are responsible for Hololive's growth and current success. Gura I think has the talent to be as good as Pekora or Miko but evidently not the drive. Mori clearly has passion and work ethic that rival Suisei's but her focus on polarizing weeaboo rap music as well as her many repeated yabs make it unlikely that she will ever reach the same status within the actual fanbase even if she keeps grinding and getting big collabs. Fauna probably has the best balance between talent as a streamer and work ethic/consistency/planning but unfortunately she just doesn't have the magnetism of a Pekora/Miko/Marine etc., feeling closer to a JP midcarder like Noel for example. FWMC are promising but they seem content to stream hyper niche content to a small dedicated viewerbase which is a valid decision to make but ultimately not great for HoloEN's growth. And so in the end after almost 4 years of HoloEN existing it hasn't really managed to be anything more than a "good enough" English speaking imitation of HoloJP. The early days of Myth with Gura, Ame and Ina firing on all cylinders seemed promising but at this point it's obvious that those days aren't coming back, and while the later gens have been fine none of them have managed to recreate that momentum. You can blame the end of Covid or whatever but that didn't stop JP's incline.
