I don’t think the stream was inherently a bad idea. I’m sure Gura does like Taco Bell and them sponsoring a vtuber is definitely on-brand. The problem was the content of the stream. Gura cannot be as passionate towards Taco Bell as Kiara is towards the Tales games, so she and the company shouldn’t have even attempted taking the serious route. Pretending to care about some commercial automatically puts the stream in cringe territory when it could have been a fun post-ironic pastiche of sponsorhips.
