Will vtubers peak again or fade away slowly?

>> No.7637100

Depends if there's a meta shift.
There's only a few more left.

1. Male meta for envtuber audience
2. France/french anime demographic
3. Spanish anime consuming demographic
4. Adding gambling and investing into vtubing
5. A vtuber company entering the stock market

If anyone figures anyone of those, it will alter the meta.

I dont believe it, Saruei is the peak example of the saturation of IRL streamers in France she has to become an american e-thot to get a public

The French are a bit more casual in their anime consumption (bigger fans of shounenshit than average) so they're a bit behind on this trend. Even though she's not exactly going specifically for the French crowd, she might be the bridge that brings vtubing to the French demographic. It will be interesting to see how that goes.

Eye of the storm.

China is around 1.05 males to females but in the next 10 years that's going to hit 1.15 m/f.

Going to be like 10-20m new bachelors in China that will never be able to have a family.

It's not as bad for other countries but the rates going forward are increasingly "forever alone" male bachelors in general.

it will always be around, at best, you'll see some random content creator that happens to be a vtuber take off like crazy like how random streamers blow up seemingly out of nowhere(like that dream dude and all those random guys he plays with)

Vtubing needs to go through its postmodernist phase to remain relevant; current vtuber content is getting stale, but now the conventions of the medium have mostly been established and creative, intelligent people can fuck around with them or straight up shatter them. This is probably too much to ask though, since the consumer dictates the quality and nature of the content, and all vtuber fans want is cute anime girls playing video-games. That's not to say there isn't a place for that stuff, but the medium has a lot of wasted potential.

I think vtubers are closer to a new form of entertainmeant or media. Like the TV was in the 60s, or the net in the 90s, sure its about to have its DOTCOM bubble burst, but its going to stick around for a while

Vtubers aren't going anywhere. Vtubers have been going strong in some form or another since 2016 so they have proven to have staying power over your usual fad. Specific individual vtubers may fade away but the medium as a whole is here to stay.

>Will vtubers peak again or fade away slowly?
I highly doubt that they will fade away, maybe the novelty will lessen when people realize that they are for the most part streamers with an anime aesthetic where some are heavily dedicated to creating music or art.
You can start doomposting when streaming dies though.

I dont think you understand what you're talking about. Globally, men are slightly more rare than women, china is literally the exception because of the old fashioned kill or abort girls thing the cccp used to do. In every other country the complete lack of manhood and perceived rarity of breedable women is a result of the second world war and capitalism and communism working together to render men toothless, gutless, soulless, and pollution contributing to shrinking cocks, and the final nail in the coffin being our diets of soft processed foods evolving future generations to have weaker jaws and jawlines. I think that's what you're talking about, not china.

tl;dr Vtubers are like minecraft youtubers, they're going to hit a dry patch, with growth slowing down, a couple of who's will fall off the map, but a good number of the big players will survive. Eventually something will cause renewed interest in Vtubers and they'll come back bigger than before.

The VTuber reach is already huge and I don't think there's much further expansion room, lockdown just provided more people time to watch. We won't see growth near that level again.

The community has already had exposure from the mainstream streamers and it didn't cause a huge shift.

The Spanish market may cause some growth but a lot of those people already speak English so it likely isn't worth the investment. China is a lost cause.

The big companies will stay relevant but sub 200 viewer streamers will get hit hard as their act becomes stale.

the chinks know how reproduction works, but because of the one child policy and laws exempting woman from having to take care of their elderly parents, a lot of them had to choose between killing their daughters and pretending that kid never happened or face a retirement in poverty. needless to say, many chose the former.
