Played older and less relevant games is fine. Most of the time it's even better than the newest hot AAA title that every youtuber and streamer has already played to death but Holos don't even do that. The problem is that they need to go even further back in time. I'm talking pre 2010.
The only problem is when it's a story or gimmick focused game where everyone already knows the story, gimmick or le ebin twist. (Undertale, Plug and Play, DDLC, etc)

Let's say Toby Fox finally noticed about Hololive now because sudden surge of Undertale sales and trends at YouTube after a few years being dead. The same applied to another games and Cover will actually get more exposure to game companies and their PR.

Game/music companies keep pulling the rug out from under them with copyright takedowns long after the stream is done and has made money. It's either lawsuit baiting or just trying to kill hololive before they become a decent sized media company, so they'll probably play it safe for another few years at least

Games don't have an expiration date. Korone and okayu streaming retro proves that. If Mori started Black Flag, DMC 3 or Earthbound tomorrow I'd be down for it.
