I think the issue is more that EOPs don't know she has more music or when it's coming out. The majority of her music isn't on her YouTube page and Cover doesn't put much into advertising her to the western fanbase. You check her Spotify and she has a metric fuckton of songs between at least 2 albums and several singles, but most of them haven't even broken 10k plays and the only youtube uploads are the autogenerated ones that barely anyone checks for if they didn't know the song beforehand. Sora's original songs have the same issue, but I guess the two of them were doing well enough on physical album and itunes sales to not worry about YouTube and Spotify streams for most of their library

Yes and no. You can see it on Sora's channel as well. Covers can get over a million views, regularly the go for 200k, not to mention that many of them get 500k.
Obviously you can't get as much cash on them as you can from Original Songs, but it is how you bring new people in. AZKi's two 1+ million views videos are both covers.

That's just the state of things. People will only check something out if there's something that invests them. It's the same reason that artists have fanart blow up but drawings of their oc get a fraction of that.

You see cover artists on youtube like Raon or Pellek that get by purely by covering songs and they get tons of views since people are already invested in songs they know. A lot of artists pump out covers to get people's eyes on them, then a fraction of those people will stay for their original content.
