Reminder that TikTok inflates view counts by registering EVERY SINGLE CLICK ON A VIDEO, even if not reproduced, as a view, and there's no loop/repeated view restrictions like YT and other services do have.
This means that you could theroretically use several devices with accounts to loop your videos for hours so they get abnormally high view counts for accounts with no followers which propels people into the TikTok algorithm quickly (basically botting yourself into mainstream territory).
Also the videos are extremely short and the amount of questionable underage content just keeps rising with next to no filter other than manual reports, that's a ticking time bomb no one can defuse without unpluggin the platform, and profitable influencer marketing will soon meet its end just like YouTuber marketing bubbles blew up 6 years ago

Music labels have even paid big tiktokers to makeup a dance to music that their artists have made so that the song trends on billboard charts.
