It's not just switching personality, it's about if we will forever disapear or not, there has been way less streams than what your implying, first haato dies, plot twist, then merging so will she be able to mix the 2 selves whenever she wants in a stream, then backstory and shit like Hachama's was Haato's sister which died long time ago, she ends the first arc here.

the story arc may or may not advance, she did say she was stuck. This part I can get people getting tired of the switcheroos.

What people need to realize is that there's story, and there's lore. Character lore (2 or more personalities switching) is probably going to stay for a long time until she either alters it by story or she gets tired of it.

So the story is "what will happen next?" that can go nowhere and tire out people. But the lore/characterization is how she presents her character(s), thats just a way of expressing herself, not something she has to conclude
