No, you guessed right. Diorama is a good song, but everyone who wanted to hear it already heard it 10+ times and this "mv" is just a tiny bit better than a simple lyrics video. Mori's last MVs are successful because they came out way after the EP, songs sound fresh, and they're full of visual flare and new outfits, people can watch them again to notice little details and draw fanart.

If the song isn't new, and the video doesn't bring anything new there's no reason to watch it. Don't be discouraged though, I'm sure IRyS knew that would happen. And she's not concerned about numbers.

You know, initially I was very worried that Hololive EN would fail horribly in this new "lore" direction they're going in because it seems exhausting conceptually speaking for an actor/actress to ensure character continuity (or that they don't just break it altogether) 24/7 essentially; to have to practicality always be hyper conscious and aware of every little thing you express while streaming and interacting. But then I remember type casting is a thing (which helps alleviate that load tremendously), and then I feel less worried. After all, you don't really need to find someone "good" enough to keep up that character, you just need to find someone "right" enough for the character. IMO, IRyS's character is rightfully and significantly compatible with her seiyu/actress. And I think that's awesome, because while I may find professional wrestling to be corny AF, I have always loved the concept of "kayfabe" itself, and all the fun that can potentially be had with it through whatever avenue/genre it may manifest within.

Yes typecasting is a thing. Just recently Kiara confirmed some juicy stuff - their models were ready before the audition.
One could assume that during audition they're not picked purely on talent and entertainment abilities, but on how much they align with or can play a certain character, one out of 5 that's already made and vaguely established. That's why so many tremendously talented vsingers who I'm sure tried to get the job didn't made the cut, while IRyS did - COVER was looking for someone or something very specific, not just a talented singer+producer, I've been saying this since day one.
And speaking of typecasting, yeah, that's how it's done. It's been years since I've visited /@/ but bamco always picked up new VAs for characters so their personalities would match. I remember a specific example of my girl Yuki, who's VA is also very much into baseball, beer and has a cheerful genki personality. Just one example I remember out of dozens, they're pretty much all like that.
Don't think of this as typecasting. It's just an extention of their true self, when they don't have to act(much) it allows them to be more open and honest.

You need a "MV" on your channel to be able to get an individualised topic channel rather than getting put into "Various Artists" ghetto.
