Sorry daddy, shit just be how it do. My interpretation of what you said simply made more sense to me than the reality of it; in this particular case I don't think I'm wrong but as you've no doubt noticed this thread is full of warm temperature IQ takes more or less 24/7.
Listening to players is generally bad, and picking ones you DO listen to is both difficult and potentially magnifies the >players are retards problem; all that said, especially considering your earlier post about "things we think might be good" I believe a major problem you have right now is a lack of people who actually PLAY your game involved in the creation of it. I don't know how to fix this, I absolutely don't volunteer myself and despite having brainstormed ideas for weeks I'm no closer to coming up with any good ones. Regardless, as I believe the feedback has demonstrated (re: special oshi coins, "buying a lambo" etc), you have a degree of disconnect. That's a good thing most of the time but right now the issues the playerbase are experiencing are not ones you fully understand.
I don't have any solutions, I drink glue and lick windows, I'm just saying. Rabu.

I said before and I say it again. The people that are playing this game the most are daytraders. Killing day trading is locking away a big part of the game for the active players. It is antifun, makes the overbought mechanic meaningless and shifts the meta to hold and wait for dividends day.
Divvies nerf or even a networth tax at the end of the week is a better way to fix the inflation but that's just me and my monkey brain.

Devs waited until after everyone liquidated and spent 3 days FUD'ing the community to explain that overbought wasn't going to pull prices down much. Even the people that knew Overbought and Bogration were separate expected prices to go down more.
Overbought protection being disabled has not actually done anything notable yet, and is unlikely to do anything in the near future, so the metagame remains the same: Buy, Hold, and Don't Sell.
You can't make any headway if you don't buy, but if you buy these prices you're retarded.
You can't reap profits if you don't sell, but if you sell before knowing that you can safely buy back in, you're retarded.
You can't obtain dividends if you don't hold, but if you hold at a time when prices are sky high and will net you 500% or more profits, you're retarded.

Playing the game is retarded.
Money is worthless.
Hell is full.

Multicoin will probably still happen, if not to fix any issues just to do it for the convenience factor, as long as it doesn't break the game balance.
Yes, we may need to rethink the scale of the overbought mechanic.

I don't understand why everyone expected huge crashes when that was never a part of the overbought mechanism. Did you want every coin to just drop, ignoring their performance? That doesn't seem fair to any coins who were set to do well on that particular day. The overbought isn't going to crash coins in a single day, that's not the point, but it does bring them down over time. It's been about 2 days since we turned it back on. Most of the feedback seems to just be people being impatient or misunderstanding overbought.

What are people's thoughts on the broker fee? Do you really feel that it has killed daytrading? We can remove or lower it.

here, I'll come out and be completely honest in my idiocy
>I don't understand why everyone expected huge crashes when that was never a part of the overbought mechanism.
I was gambling HARD on EN2. They mooned to 57k and 54k two of them, after that followed a ruthless pump into EVERY. SINGLE. FUCKING. COIN. One of the devchamas came out and admitted "sure this was working as intended but holy hell these numbers are high". Shortly after that, there was dev reaction to the whole thing. From that day on, prices were FUCKED.
EN2 completed their week of their averages being in the weekly today. I expected them to crash at the very least, and since mechanics were adjusted more or less in reaction to that event, I also expected additional steps to at least get the market back to where it was via the economy somehow.
We all know that didn't happen and I lost tons of potential money by selling off a lot of coins, but why would I mind, I should've known better. I'll keep track of the average coin price over the days at adjustment just to see where we're going.
But yeah, I say from the point of how older players interpret the market, spikes like what we experienced were usually followed by a deep dive. Many sold, few thought of the fact that the spike was CAUSED (?) by the absolute dip EN2 had before that spike.
Or I don't understand anything but that's fine, otherwise it wouldn't be a game. In any case, market reaction and dev reaction to that market reaction WERE poorly understood, then again you don't owe us explanations for that as well. Market mechanics should stay mysterious in particularities, and this is one of the edge cases. 5 IPOs blowing up the entire market however, that was certainly unexpected. We got some new vectors to think about, I was suspecting market price average to have an impact at this point, of course that's a rrat and please don't answer.

Replace it with a new tax system. It’s unfair for new players because they rely heavily on daytrading while top players doesn’t daytrade nearly as much. Just introduce a tax system where the rich get high tax rate while the poor get lower tax rate. The tax should be based on how much profit they’ve made that day, not based on how much coins they’ve traded.

I generally don't mind the fee as someone who can afford the coins without minding the fee, and as someone who doesn't daytrade but it might be really punishing for people who have lower networth or liquids, you will be surprised with how much your broker is taking from you, I sure did when I check mine just now.
Though, there are still people who daytrade even being higher ranking so fee might be a hard thing to balance.

I'm happy even with just the probability of multicoin happening.

This is part of what I was referring to. I myself am impatient, but I understand that it wasn't going to fix itself magically. Right now most coins are heavily overvalued compared to how they were with similar numbers less than a month ago. Part of that is the massive injection of liquid into the market from EN2, but everything's been climbing for a while. The logic followed that if "overbought" meant "valued over the formula's calculated value", then EVERYTHING is overbought. The disconnect is because we didn't know how short-sighted the formula was when considering whether a coin was overbought or not.

>What are people's thoughts on the broker fee?
At bare minimum, it is scaring people off of buying. 10% "feels" too high even though it's not that high in a lot of cases. It also softlocks lower-earners. If you don't have a buffer of credits set up you'll go red on broker's fees, which is significantly more likely for newer players with less liquid to spare.

Last time opbog and overbought were put in and removed together, they might as well have been the same thing, and even worse, opbog was "secret" back then, you only talked about "overbought".

I'm only in the top 50 but I'm fine with poorfags paying a lesser fee. I'm definitely not saying that everyone else agrees with me, but personally as long as the people I'm "competing" with (those near my rank) are paying the same rates I'm fine with growth slowing the higher up you get, even if it'd definitely end in my loss in position just accelerating as I'm sure some newfags have more energy for the game than I have at this point.
Growth at the point I'm at is just way too extreme. No one would be happy with losing what they worked for, but simply slowing growth the higher up you get is the only way to un-break inflation while not fucking up the competitive aspect. I'll admit, as I'm not a super active day trader so it hurts me less than others, but if you're a day trader who's already already putting so much effort into the economy, I'm sure you can outsmart the competition with the right plays.
My biggest critique is that dividends are honestly the real core source of inflation. I play almost entirely for derivatives so them getting nerfed would fuck me over but they are truly the core source of inflation. Day traders are not the ones who should get punished the hardest, people like me who just hoard coins and barely ever sell are.
Pic related is my position history from near the start of the game going public to now (logarithmic). I think my slow descent as I put less time into researching my plays is fair, but I shouldn't be holding my position so well at this point by just logging in every single day at 9am to buy everything that dropped based on their dividend efficiency. Sure I buy with future events in mind, but I should probably be forced to pay closer attention at this point.

I think its a better idea than the tiered assets.
instead of gold and silver leaderboards you can have "Jet Club, Yacht Club, Lambo Club, Poor Club" if the purpose is to just drain cash from the economy, I think itd work for the reasons you said. people are vain as fuck. just like how everyone rolled for jebs, As soon as someone thinks they can afford it, they will shill out to get onto a better leaderboard.

I don't have the drive that I had when I first play this game but the newfags who have the same drive when I started or the newfags that think this is a fun game will probably be discouraged to even climb up with this much punishment hindering them from catching up.
Of course the daytraders will probably be annoyed with it but they have a lot more options to take than the newfags with 10% broker tax.

>we are tweaking the formula a bit to account and fight inflation
and people would just have been wary of the new market instead of selling like retards, if you want to avoid future misunderstanding that's probably the better option, as for the broker fee question I think that they are fine

Last time, that was amplified by a lot by being mixed in with bogration. So of course if you say that again, people will think "oh, opbog is coming back". That's what bogration did too, "keep prices in check towards base value", but aggressively.
If you look at the all time graph, you could easily believe that all the coins "are deemed to have been bought above a certain performance-based threshold" and that it would act on those. You don't even mention it acts on daily adjustment.
I know it sounds silly, but again, you're the dev, you know exactly what you're talking about and it's all obvious in your head, but it isn't for your players and you need to think of that in your messages.

>>9404424
I really don't understand how this idea has any traction. I spent a bit on gachas to get jeb_ and I'd probably spend a bit more to get some other kind of personal flair, but one time purchases that either require constant updates with higher levels or absurdly high prices are not actual worthwhile solutions to the current problems of the economy. It's a fun idea, but not any kind of real solution. Seems like a shittier version of the "prestige" idea that I actually did like somewhat. The only way any one would care is if it somehow affected your actual position on the actual leaderboard, which would be incredibly stupid and invalidate the point of the leaderboard. the leaderboard shows who has the highest networth, why would I decrease my networth to move myself to a different page? I'll just be more poor with a tiny bit more flair.
Sorry but this is just a re-tread of the prestige idea that this time gives a way more short-cited view on inflation.

The big issue with this is, (and I'll use Ame as an example just because I remember her prices better) last time overbought was introduced, Ame was trending down from 9k to about 4-6k (4 on a bad day, 6 on good),
Ame's day to day performance has not really changed much from that time, so logically, her "fundamental performance value" shouldn't have changed. and yet here we are today With Ame happily sitting at around 18-20k.
Even if you say "but Ame has increased her performance with clips etc" she sure as shit hasn't quadrupled her performance.

Knowing what makes the market tick has nothing to do with somehow being an even bigger retard than I am and inferring that the "overbought mechanic coming back" meant more than that.

>>6324376
>A solution could be just reducing the rebound. I mean, rebound is only part of Bogration anyways so turning it off doesn't mean we're no longer fighting inflation. Also, as to if we're in the final stage of the boggening, I don't know. It depends on chuuba behavior as well as the rate of inflation that players manage to pull off.
One of the biggest drops in coin values during OP-bog/bogration had nothing to do with OP-bog itself and was a doubled downward adjustment because the scraper fucked up.

You know what, fine. Here:
>>9337009
>Overbought mechanic was simply put:
>>coin has a good day
>>coin should adjust up to price x as a result
>>retards bought coin up some amount PAST price x
>>coin no longer adjusts up
>>it adjusts back down, towards, but not directly TO price x
>You know how things bounce back UP when we sell too many? It's like that but in reverse. And it was gimped several times over the short three weeks it was in place.
>Bogration/OPbog was a "military campaign" that bogged coins more aggressively, had increased volatility per trade, and technically included the overbought mechanic as an element. I am still not sure they were separate, but downwards "overbought" adjustments would sometimes end up compounding. So you'd get multiple days of overbought dragging a coin that would've only had tiny upwards adjustments back down. And then coins like Rushia had Susan days + tons of being overbought + regular Rushia breaks/viewcount drops and ended up with multiple back to back red days.

I pointed it out to honkler in the last thread.
In this market, overbought's only ever going to hit:
1. Shitcoins, and even then, it may not. They've been mooning too.
2. Small upwards adjustments.
Mori was a better example. She only does one of two things, get Susan'd, or go to the moon.
Getting Susan'd:
>overbought doesn't work on downwards adjustments
>nothing happens because of overbought
>she just goes down a bit
Going to the moon
>if every single active player bought 144 Mori the day before, it wouldn't even get close to where she was headed
>nothing happens because of overbought
>she goes to the moon

>> No.9411652

>>9411168
Mori's a special case no matter what. They'd have to invent Mori-specific mechanics to deal with her shenanigans. In a way that makes her a great port in any storm, since she has hella consistent and predictable patterns.
You will always make money on the brap cycle, if nothing else.

Hey nasfaq, ready for your /fit/ reps? Today we’re doing whatever (you) want to do. For every % moved during adjustment, do 1 rep. Went red? That’s your punishment. Went Green? Men in Europe and the US average 6.4 sexual partners over their lifetime.

We'll assume (You)'ll fuck anything for simplicity's sake. We'll also assume you won't fuck .4 people.

You've got about 3 times as much of a chance that Ayamy will be 1 of your 6.4 sexual partners than rolling a coin 10 pack and getting 10 Ayamy. Should you actually manage to win 10 Ayamy, please purchase the soonest plane ticket available to wherever the fuck it is she is rn. Korea? Japan? Just git. And start fucking.

There are only 2 hoshiyomi left here. Ayunda and Joe. And you can recognise Ayunda by his gay posting style and Joe by his constant gosling posting.

why not both

HOLOSTATES where each country has it's own player driven tax system, no one will be able to complain about the rates. Dividends will come from these taxes, countries with little tax rates can invest everything into their military to attack the high tax countries full of n00bs to conquer their dividends. To generate a bit of money from thin air to keep a healthy inflation, there can be natural resources on a map. Big countries will fight over resources and force the poofags to work on cookie clicker mines to generate money. War bonds will be a new way of gambling your money away and investing in countriess will be the actual stock market since the countries will be controlled by governance (the one with more investment has more voting power)
