Isn't a bait thread. Recently I've been getting clips and videos about how streamers, celebrities and online personalities are not your friends, buddies or whatever. I would've thought that at least some of them would kind of defend at being friends with their audience but none of them do. i disagree with the whole "vtubers are an upper class" thing, but it's true, viewers can't be friends with vtubers, and that's normal. The same applies to normal streamers as well. Don't form weird parasocial relations with them, they're entertainers, and you're just a member of the audience.

Vtubers offer a product. Most men into Vtubers buy into that product, knowing that it is a product.
Most of us buy into it because it fills a hole in our lives, entertains us, and the streamers get a financial reward.
I say most because there are obviously retards who don't understand the boundary.
It's also not as bad as people make out, because not everyone just gives money to them.

And unlike TV or Movie entertainers you can interact with them, sometimes even changing the whole direction of the stream. But, remember, you are just chat and the vtubers are just a character some voice actor is playing.
