1. It kind of makes it feel like they're not taking vtubing as seriously which makes it harder for me to enjoy them, almost like they've broken the suspension of disbelief. There are cases like net idols that've then gotten into vtubing where it's a lot more understandable though.

Ancient Aliens is probably my all-time favorite, excellent choice! I may play that on stream soon because it's so fun. Alien Vendetta is a classic, though it's sadistically difficult at times. If you want, you can extract individual levels from megawads using DoomBuilder and compile them into your own wad as like a sampler pack, but the easiest way to just sample wads is to jump around levels using the idclev## command. So if you want to try level seven, just use the cheat IDCLEV07 and you warp right to it. There are also megawads aimed at smaller, short levels, so if that interests you, Scythe, Scythe 2, and the Microslaughter Community Project may be worth a look.
