Honestly using these bot solutions to auto ban people is a really bad idea unless you want it to accidentally start banning the wrong people and have your work cut out for you to unban all the innocent people.

no, I haven't seen a person who got big by doing a lot of stuff without a reason they always find a thing they excel at and keep doing that, but I will say, why is everyone going the streaming route out of the get-go? it honestly feels like the commentary YouTubers from a few years ago and the gaming YouTubers before that.

nobody looks up lets plays or commentaries anymore, and reviews are usually dominated by the big channels already out there who also get the games/movies/whatever before normal audiences do.

I thought about doing some book review videos for example, but the thing is
1. i could just do that during a stream
2. nobody is going to look up a review of me getting mad at a book about a girl riding a dragon when they could just read a quick 1 paragraph review on goodreads and move on.
3. the locked tomb was pretty good and i think the LGBT pandering on the cover hurts it more than it helps considering all the gay is subtextual anyways, minus harrow wanting to fuck a corpse.

With how the chuuba community is at the moment, there's probably a balance between typical chuuba content and niche content that one has to achieve. A chuuba could spec further and further into a niche appeal as much as they'd want but most viewers will likely be ex-corpo fans looking for the old familiar game and zatsudan streams. More and more vtubers adopting niche content should help the expectations of new viewers change over time, however.

My oshi also has lectures and cytube streams, and the cytube streams tend to be more popular anyways. I'd probably still tune in but chat way less than I used too.

I think making content they're passionate for is best, even if others are playing the same games their passion can give them a unique look.

Kiara did a 12 hour super chat reading stream before, so she could make Zatsudans her main content if she wanted to. She cares a lot about the game and at times thinks it's the most important aspect of the stream instead of herself so she wouldn't want to make it pure talking or singing. I'd enjoy her streams still and still watch.

Diversity is good, and pretty much vital if you're trying to "make it," but if you're just doing this whole thing as a hobby then you shouldn't force it just for the sake of having it. I'd rather watch someone have the same comfy stream every couple of days than someone trying to do something different that they aren't prepared for and it all falls flat every single time because they're more worried about complacency than about actual stream quality.
Also I was pretty hype for that stream yesterday but I ended up missing most of it because of work. Hope it went well, seemed fun from what little I caught. I don't mind if other vtubers they hang out with get mod powers because its more of a equal support thing, so long as they keep it professional too.

In general mod shouldn't be a flag you wave around though as if you're a special snowflake, and many of these smaller vtubers have mods like that who use it as a "I'm better than you" tactic and try to "control" chat rather than just punishing rule breakers, which is wrong. If there's anything more than a warning coming from a mod when chat is getting clearly out of hand, they're abusing it.

Its a big reason I stopped watching Phase Connect, they gave a bunch of autists mod powers and its obnoxious as fuck seeing them spam stupid shit in chat constantly and throw their weight around where it has no business being thrown.

Mod status should be given to those who can responsibly do the job. How often they chat is irrelevant
