I watch a 10view and a more popular 30ish-view who are both men and another 10view who is an actual girl.
I don’t know if either of them recognize me but they always reply to every comment in the chat, mostly because there’s so much dead air otherwise
Ironically, it’s the girl that I’m kind of getting tired of. She’s an EN chuuba so her chat acts like twitter trannies. The male 10view I think is Indonesian so he speaks both English and Japanese thankfully. The 30view male is the cooler of the three but he’s Japanese only but he once put a Spanish comment and his reply through a translator

I'm a 20view that has to actively ignore someone in chat for several reasons. They aren't doing anything ban-worthy, but every time I engage with them they go on these huge walls of text about how they're this close to a psychotic breakdown. I tell them to knock it off and get help, they leave stream, then repeat the process the next one. Maybe to some that's ban-worthy. Idk wtf you guys are doing wrong. I've had tons of my comments read. Fubuki, Sui-chan, Pekora, Haachama, Rushia, Mio, Kaichou, and Polka have all read my comments and laughed. I've even been featured on clips. The only time I've been deliberately ignored was with Miko, and I know because she started reading and then stopped. Aqua read one, but she didn't laugh. I'm sure at least Fubuki will recognize me because I comment so often on her members and Twitter. When Aqua was having a hard time talking to her Kensetsu, that really awkward stream, I was the one feeding talking material to Mio.

But yea, 2 view chuubas are nice when they actually read the chat. I've seen a couple who completely ignore it. And I've seen one pretend to be Japanese and google translate literally everything from Portuguese, when she's clearly fluent in that language and her chat is 100% Brazilian.

None of that is bad, and making a living off of streaming is fine too. What I find off-putting is the attitude the streamer has toward money. Haachama didn't have monetization for almost a year and continued to enjoy streaming. Kaichou was willing to risk her health to provide her fans with AsaCoco, even tho she didn't have monetization yet. Sui-chan has the cheapest membership because she's stated that what's more important is the accessibility for her fans to join.

Then you have Cali who milks 3 different membership tiers and is clearly uninterested in Hololive as a whole and even streaming. Kiara who cries because she got to 1 Mil with pity subs (this applies to obsession with numbers as well).

You as the streamer should have a source of income that isn't streaming so you can pay your bills, and so you don't stuff "give me superchats" down the viewers throat. You can have the tip jar and whatever you mentioned and put it to the side, you don't even have to mention it. If you make good content and make us laugh, the viewers will donate on their own, out of your likeability. I for my part, really like small Vtubers.
