I don't think it's "forced". Gura has said she had always been a big fan of Aqua, and when she visited Japan in the pre-coof days had a great time talking with Marine. AquaMarine has always been a thing and Marine talks about Ina a lot as well. The language barrier is the only reason it wasn't happening before, but Gura has passed beyond the "fuck it" line and realized she can't just keep waiting to magically learn Japanese with no effort. She's gonna pick up a lot more by trying, it's gonna be awkward and slow at first but this is the best way to learn a language, being submersed in it. I also believe this is part of why Ina wasn't translating everything for her all the time. Though I assume Omega or someone else is behind the scenes helping her understand the general flow, it seems like they are trying to go with a "sink or swim" mentality

As much as I like Hololive and post on /hlgg/ on a daily basis, I really dislike the idol aspect. It's not even idolfag schizos or unicorns or the drama that comes with them (although they contribute a lot), it's simply just that I really don't like the genre overall. The music and aesthetic is too generically cutesy, upbeat and cheery for my tastes, and some of their songs feel like I've already heard them before somewhere in either Idolmaster, ZLS, Lovelive or any other idol anime. I just view them as streamers, entertainers and all.

I admittedly have been eyeing on Nijisanji for quite a while now, and the only thing keeping me away is my (slowly wavering) loyalty and the fact that the god tier designing of their JPs haven't trickled down yet to EN (only Elira looks visually appealing, I'm not fan of the bright pastel fantasy theme).
