It's a Youtube Music thing. YT has an auto-grabber that pulls music from official distributors such as iTunes and Spotify & publishes them under the "Topic - Music" label. Mori's songs showed up like that just a few months ago too, but now those songs properly appear under her channel because she linked her youtube account with the already existing artist profile.
The simplest guess to explain why Sora's channel doesn't show up under the "official artist" label may be a simple case of "they didn't bother with it." Maybe YT Music isn't that popular in Japan? Her channel didn't get any strikes as far as I'm aware and I'm pretty sure her song count passes the bar minimum (3, and Sora has like 20~ songs on yt music)
Another reason could be the fact that she's not partnered with YouTube (I guess because of her NND contract) since I got several ads after snippeting through Mori's VODs while Sora's VODs gave me nothing.

Gorillaz is / was a project of an already famous and accomplished musician with many connections who just wanted an excuse to create a story line and branch out musically.
Daft Punk fits better, but even that's not really the same thing, as they were always, first and foremost, musicians who just adopted some personas to go alongside the music they decided to create after getting semi famous in the french punk scene and who happened to do other projects like Electroma to accompany their music. They weren't being carried by their image or the characters they played, they just used tem to enhance the effect.
They were also both much more normalfag friendly in their presentation and general looks.
And they're all much better musicians than her to boot

I think it’s more about loneliness, friendship, and regret. Specifically around the idea of being afraid of love between friends.
The song itself is split into three sections the first tackling self-loathing, the second dwelling on it, and the third wanting to make things right. The first section can be read pretty clearly and is probably referencing his song Game of Dice.
The second section is a lot vaguer and is coming from Takefuji not Ao anyway, but the idea and subject it goes over, friction caused by ignoring budding feelings is still important.
The third section is especially interesting and could probably have a dedicated analysis on its own in my opinion it’s referencing Mori leaving her indie friend group to join an agency and Live again. Where she’s started a new chapter in her life separate from that group without much warning (Mori admitted this herself) and now Ao feels stuck im the last chapter unable to move on as he realizes her true importance to him.
As for the hook which is its own can of worms, I feel it’s a bit mistranslated so let me put it here
