It's all of that and some more. Tournament was run like shit and changed format last-minute. Servers are shit so they barely got a chance to practice, and they had a few disconnects in the middle that killed any momentum they had. Timing was shit, so Selen is sleep-deprived and stressed out. Bobon literally dying on stream didn't help with that.
Add to that the fact that Selen is the team leader and carry, and that she legitimately threw the last round by forgetting to buy items, and it makes sense that she feels responsible for their loss despite how absolute shit this whole experience has been.

For those unaware, RIG have rented out a 5* hotel to cast this, and one of the prizes is a stay at the hotel. They have obligations to do the tournament on time so they had to change course. It's not RIG's fault they just happened to schedule their tournament in what would later be the worst server issues the game has ever had.

That said, the tournament itself is super unprofessional in how it rates it's players. Selen only being allowed a D4 and P4 player despite RIG members getting Master/D1 team members is more than a little suspect.

rpr, one of the best EU players, was allowed Kaminari Qpi who would be a Pred if she bothered, and Nazuna Kaga who was actually Diamond but considered a Plat for this tournament for unknown reasons. Whole thing needs to restructure and get it's act together.

Don't forget that it's standard for out-of-country players to get point reductions for being out of country (and usually for other shit like making an all-female team and such), and for only the last X seasons to count for your ranking. For some fucking reason RIG gave no point reductions at all and counted everything since S3 (which will be 2 years ago in October).
