In terms of gameplay, honestly yeah (I speak about Automata in this, it's not even close with original Nier. KH beats it by a country mile). Much better progression, better boss fights and enemy variety, switches up the minigames more often. Though, Nier integrates gameplay with story much better.
I'd say they're about on par in the music department. Visual design can be very filtering for both, but they're both masterclasses (I'd say Nier edges out in characters, while KH wins in enemy/world design)
Story however, which is Nier's claim to fame, the gulf is chasm-wide. Automata has probably the best story in any videogame ever, by a country mile, while KH is... well...
But all in all, there's kind of a case to be made here
