They are pretty far ahead of Maha5. For the big 3 ID groups it goes like this as far as average viewership goes

2. Maha5
3. NijiID

Don't discredit the debut of Council hurting the ID viewership too. A lot of people kind of used ID as sort of a backup EN group to watch when Myth wasn't streaming. Now that council is around and EN doesn't have as much trouble filling dead hours anymore it makes sense that some of those people would drop ID. I don't have the negative outlook on them that you do though. Ollie is a beast and will find ways to get viewers even if it kills her. Reine has proven to be very consistent and Moona can boost her numbers whenever she wants with Minecraft or Karaoke. Anya and Iofi are at the bottom but their viewership is consistent and they seem to have decent fanbases for the people that do watch them.

The real wild card is Risu. For a while she was actually more popular than Moona but then she just lost all motivation to stream. I think if she finds her groove again she could incline quite a bit. She is every bit as good as Moona at singing plus she seems to have a deep understanding of internet culture and memes that the general vtuber fanbase just loves. I think she is way too talented to be a bottom feeder and when (or if) she ever streams consistently again I could see her inclining quite a bit.
