Minecraft is the only game where any of the girls can reliably link up at any given time. The only game that lends itself to big events that involve the whole literally everyone. Its where they can express themselves and interact with each other on a scale that no other game allows. It's where the majority of kino off-the-cuff collabs happen, it's where people discover new streamers because their oshi interacts with them.

Arc is a good game but it doesn't have nearly the same scope.

Coco tried to get them onto Terraria but no-one switched. Also, Terraria doesn't lend easily to playing forever and ever. It'd be a month or two, all of the things in the game would get done, and then people would stop playing. I actually want to see a month or two of Terraria, but at the end of the day Minecraft will always reign supreme.
It's the game that always exists and will always get views when a Holo member can't think of a stream idea or a fad to play that day. I like Minecraft anyway, I've fucking watched youtubers play Minecraft for over 10 years now and it's somehow never gotten boring. There's so many different ways to play the game that it often more reflects the youtuber's personality than the game itself. It'd be interesting if any of them did Minecraft Adventure maps or Capture the Wool or UHCs or like anything that isn't just the main server though.

It can provide content for maybe a month or two, but it'll get boring. Sure, exploring us nice and all, but after encountering enough planets the novelty wears off. You can get most necessary combat tech within 50 hours (much faster actually, we're assuming they're going in blind and are taking their time), the vendor quests are pretty easy, main storyline is kinda interesting I guess. I spent a good dozen hours learning all the Korvax vocab and I ain't doing that for the other races. You can get creative with building but there's really only so much you can reasonably do, especially with the "restricted" building space. All in all, I'd say they should wait a bit longer. It feels kinda like Astroneer, which was also lacking content back in the day, not sure if they've been updating it tho.

I sincerely prefer Terraria to Minecraft and most of my autism is directed towards it, but the truth is that the holos don't just play Minecraft because it's fun, but because it's basically a zatsudan disguised as a game. Terraria is a bit more linear and a bit more limited due to its RPG inspirations and mechanics, so once you beat Moon Lord there's not much to fuck around with in it. That the world isn't infinite and building options are more limited due to 2D doesn't help.
I would personally love a 3D Terraria. The mix between RPG mechanics (chasing new weapons, fighting bosses, grinding enemies, etc.) and creative sandboxes is lovely but the finite world and only having two dimensions to work with makes things harder. Although there's sort of an advantage to knowing where every biome is and what to expect from it, especially since several key world features (Temple, Dungeon) are important for progression.
Either way, it's the kind of game you play for a few months, get everything done, and then restart. Minecraft is more open-ended than that, even after you kill the dragon and get the glider you can still just fart around and do projects.
