Want to clarify I like them both, still watch them both. Been a viewer of ASMR and Vtubers since the stone age. Just find this situation interesting because they're two of my favorites.

As for Shadow, she is a very strong person with some big flaws. She's hardworking to a painful extent and takes extreme opinions. Fauna is good at rambling on her solo streams or small scale collabs, she's pretty self-aware, there's very little dead air and she makes some funny observations.
It's a simple skill really but still an useful one, it's one of the core foundations for a streamer.
For her ASMR stuff, once the money rolls in and she has a better place to stream (she is literally streaming from her closet for now) she'll certainly go up the ranks, she's not settling for the comfort zone.

By biggest issue with Fauna is the lack of room for growth. Usually one good point of Cover scouting is that they get talents with high ceiling, they may not yet be there but management did see the potential for good growth and it's also a very nice part of following a vtuber from their debut.
Fauna just feels like already got her gimmick and is well intalled in it and won't really go anywhere from there.
