1- Who or what pulled you into vtubing / watching vtubers?
2- How do you feel your tastes have changed (or not) over time? Is there anything you used to like or be indifferent to that makes you want to drop a vtuber now?

I've been interested in Vtubers since Kizuna Ai, Azur Lane got me into HoloLive, and Kamiko Kana was the final push to get me to become a chuuba

I've always liked Roboco's design so I guess my tastes haven't changed much.

Was on and off again with Kizuna AI, but her content at the time never interested me, then started seeing all the vtuber clips in 2019, mainly Miko saying Nigga~, then around 2020 Some friends started doing it but never made the leap until this year, just as a way to keep my find off stuff and stay focused on something.
2- How do you feel your tastes have changed (or not) over time? Is there anything you used to like or be indifferent to that makes you want to drop a vtuber now?
I wouldn't say they changed much, I just like watching people have fun, but there is one I'm close to dropping simply because she's just not interesting, and her view count shows it. She used to average around 15 to 20 viewers but now struggles maintaining 10 viewers.
3- Which two chuubas do you want to collab together, and what (game, activity, anything) do you think would be perfect for them to do?
I don't know, after this month I'm probably going to stop collabing to focus more on my stuff, but maybe something simple like costreaming a single player game just for extra commentary, or stupid YLYL challenges.

1. Coco, though it was Yuni Luna that got me into watching western indies, I didn't think there was anything worthwhile in the western indie scene before I found her, though I was wrong and my judgement was clouded by my first impressions
2. I can't say they've changed all that much, I like all kinds of content, as long as the chuuba can keep it entertaining I'll watch it
3. I don't care about collabs all that much, I don't particularly like it when they have over 4 people and I'll likely skip those

Probably Miko, I was familiar with Kizuna AI pre recorded skits but I didn't really see the appeal until I saw some Miko GTA V clips. Thought it was interesting af but didn't really get into watching them crazily until HoloEN probably. One of my friends kept spamming clips at me until I forced myself to watch full streams...

Nothing has changed my tastes drastically I think, I have been watching way more indies in the last 5-6 months but I wouldn't say I have dropped or disliked anyone I enjoyed at the start of the year and stuff

Hard to say, I honestly want to see people like Bloom incline and see him exposed to a larger audience through collaboration but beyond that I'm pretty indifferent about collabs. As long as people have good chemistry, it's whatever.

AzurLane made me learn about vtubers, but I'm EOP. VividlyASMR started streaming as a pngtuber, which pulled me into Twitch, and from there, I found vtubers through her raids... And now have stuff going near constantly.
As to what pulled me into vtubing, I watched a Crusader Kings stream but the guy doing the stream was really bad, so I decided I would do better than him.

1. I had no interest in Vtubers for a fairly long time aside from Eilene's skits back when those were still being translated to English (no idea what year that would've been, gomen), but then I got curious after a game I like got a big bump in its player count, and I found out it was because of Kuzuha streaming it. I gave him a look, and that was what dropped me into the hole meme.

2. As an admittedly coomer, I thought lewd/yab Vtubers would've been up my alley, but weirdly enough, it's just been pushing me away. Whether Marine, SKB, Finana, or the actual R18 ones like EvE or Bethlehem, something just doesn't click for me.

Is it because they go apeshit over kinks I don't like, like how Marine is into Mizuryu Kei, Utako is primarily into yaoi shota anal, or Gundou is strictly into rape? Probably. Would I simp for a Vtuber that goes yab for legs/pantyhose? Probably, considering it felt hype that apparently Rosemi has a thing for tights. Honestly, it felt pretty surprising just how ridiculously pure she actually ended up being; still, very comfy to watch.

3. I don't really think I'm interested in any collabs that are physically possible; personally, I'd probably want Calli to collab with Kenmochi since they both seem into rap, preferably with a Virtual Rap Battle. Still, probably not a possibility.

TL;DR: I'd probably shill a Vtuber that goes yab for legs/nylons.

I think it was my friends, honestly. Between VRChat and being exposed to Kizuna, VOMS, early Nijis and VR Chat hijinks, I kinda got sucked in.

I used to watch more Japanese and corpo tubers, now I'm exclusively smaller English tubers. Waiting for subs and dealing with 5000 chatters on YouTube are both no-gos. Being able to get a direct line through to your streamer is an important part of the package and when they start to hit 2000+ viewers you lose that.

Kizuna Ai and then Kaguya Luna (;^;), though I'm also stupid gullible and thought somehow Ai-chan was actually AI-generated (scripts? prompts? I literally don't know I'm slow on the uptake sometimes). Korone memes brought it back on my radar after falling off around the time Ai-chan VA multiplication happened. Vroid being easy enough to get something for the time being and VTS being easy to use made the jump to try streaming again too tempting to not do it.

I watch minecraft now (lmao) Half-jokes aside, I still watch primarily for what's being played regardless of oshi-status, and then jump around into new faces streams based on game and if I like their design. Glasses and light colored hairs (pinks, blondes especially) always win me with design though.

1 - I used to stream about a decade ago and stopped because the group I was part of had a falling out. Tried (just barely) to get back into it a couple times, and vtubing felt like a pretty good way to get back into it this time. I think it's more that viewers are really dumb and some will just come in and be like "do you watch (big name here)? who's your favorite (corpo name)? man did you see (big name) do this on their stream?" It ends up awkward cause it pulls the attention to another streamer inorganically and it's the only real thing the rule is for. I think most wouldn't mind if it organically came up, or they themselves talk about other streamers and continue off it, but when some first time chatter comes in and their first message is "hey do you like this streamer" it's... not a good first impression of the viewer.

Those people are also likely the kind to say "oh (name) is streaming, bye" so that's also to hopefully curb that uncomfortable behavior.
