Litematica is a pain in the ass to set up and use, but it makes building stuff in survival a lot easier.
It basically lets you create "schematics" of structures you select with a tool (a stick by default) and display them as a hologram that shows what blocks you need and where you need to place them.
It also gives you a list of materials you need to complete your building
It's useful because you can test out build ideas in creative until you're satisfied, then create a schematic of it and start building it in survival.

get yourself Fabric and the other mod it requires, then get yourself Litematica.
Schematics go in the "Schematics" folder in your ".Minecraft" folder, once you're in game, press M to check your Litematica menu, you can make selections of areas to do things like seeing what mats are used in a build or saving a build you've made as a schematic for later (really useful if you into the creative world).
press M+C to check a bunch of options like "easy block placement" or which layers of the schematic you want to see while building. Best way to learn is by fucking around with the options.
