Irys does quite well for herself. She's faced a few challenges IMO:
1. Solo debutante, so has this lonely vibe where she's not part of any gen
2. Original songs all in Japanese. A debuff because they were released before she had a dedicated fanbase who would put up with JP lyrics for their oshi a la Violet and Reflect
3. Suffers in comparison to Gura and Mori in the music success department (but so do most Holos)
Anyway, she's doing a great job and is a success by any reasonable metric, her karaokes still hit a consistent 12k+ last I checked.

Still needs to be mentioned that based on what we know of streamers in general, sponsorships and merch bring in more money than superchats and memberships. Those are much more easily achieved as part of a corporation not to mention other opportunities such as industry contacts for music oriented vtubers etc. Some sponsors and industry professionals outright refuse to work for non-corpos.

She was already unhappy with Asacoco and its successor being killed and then the Taiwan thing made management isolate her from EN and exclude her from sponsorships/hologra.

There are many anons that love to spew shit without even checking what Coco said about various topics. Yes, you can be blackpilled and believe that everything she said was a lie or just a way to cover up things instead, or you could believe that there was a genuine difference of creative visions, one which she herself acknowledges that was in part due to how big Hololive had gotten. Cover was more concerned about preventing YouTube from hammering them with more bans and/or demonitizing more channels after what happened with Chama, Mel and Choco, whereas Coco wanted to see how far she could push things. Neither is wrong given the circumstances, but it resulted in an unfortunate case where Coco's boundary pushing likely resulted in an antagonistic relationship with Management. In turn, management definitely went too far in the name of 'safety', and I hope the ones responsible have had their own reins pulled in or have been shuffled around to areas where they won't cause as much damage.
