It stems from Pekora mostly staying in her room and for some time they mostly communicated through LINE, like her asking Pekora what she wants to eat etc, despite living in the same house. They rarely saw each other beyond Pekora coming out of her room to get food, to take a bath, go to the toilet and things like that. They did go out together occasionally for shopping and stuff though. I personally don't see how that's "treating her like shit".
