How many times have I read this on this board alone. I’m not saying it’s impossible for you to do but it requires a certain mindset and drive that you don’t have.

OP here...uh I guess I'm not sure where to start really. I guess I can hire a fiverr bilingual instructor. What do you guys suggest when it comes to learning Japanese?

The first thing everyone will tell you to do it learn hiragana and katakana. After that 20 new words a day no breaks. Do kanji also. When doing kanji learn at least one on yomi and kun yomi reading of each word provided there is one. It makes a lot of things make more sense. Listening and understanding what you're hearing is a separate skill that needs its own exercise. You have to sit there and actively listen to what you're hearing meaning you can't use it as background noise.

Thank you Anon. Do you think I can learn enough of this on YouTube?

There are a bunch of free websites with resources. The /djt/ on jp has links. There are good YouTube channels for going over points in detail like grammar but I don't really have them. As for grammer Tae Kim's will get you on the right path. It's free and it'll be there on the daily Japanese thread. Never post in the djt thread for any reason just get the links.

There's something that I can recommend, but this is more of a basic Japanese. I recommend namasensei's Japanese class, it is somewhat "effective", but it's an aggressive type of teaching.

I looked at some /a/ sings videos and holy shit prodanon is good. They seem like a middle school concert compared to Usseewa and Judgement. Considering how many people we had prod is literally god. Is /vt/ the best singing board now?
