Last time I thought the chapter was pretty good, got shit on pretty hard. Not gonna say that for this chapter, I'll just wish you retards can enjoy it despite the flaws. But do point out problems still, I'm happy to hear what's wrong and if I can fix it.
The main conflict of the series is in this chapter, it's a theme that I've always thought about, not very original, in that sense. It's why I think Ame is the protagonist or main focus in so many HoloEN stories, that's she's the only human out of all the mythical beings. I think the theme of humans vs supernatural is pretty pronounced in my story so far, but now you know where this is going.

Well this is a pretty good start for a new arc with some pretty compelling worldbuilding and storytelling.
I think putting the main conflict 'explicitly' this early is a bit since I feel like the human vs supernatural thing hasn't really been foreshadowed enough but honestly thinking about it the entire aspect of the organization literally trying to secure abnormal shit to secure an income source was probably foreshadowing for Ame's , for lack of a better word, ideology. Anyway in regards to that Ame being the main focus/protagonist thing I always thought that was because she had two feet in two worlds, with having the whole human detective aspect as the mundane side, and the time and concoction stuff as her supernatural side; which effectively gives her a really easy way to be the bridge between the normal and supernatural story wise.

I've been able to get off to my own smut - after a certain time has passed. I guess that's the benefit of having shit short term memory from stress, exacerbated by the medication I use to treat it. Question: if I utilize past tense on some words of my fic while writing in the present, am I now obligated to change all the other words to past tense too? Like:

"She was kneeling down, and you took that as a clue to get inside." could I mix things up like "She isn't kneeling anymore, you figured it meant something but even after giving it some thought you're still not sure what it is."? I find it that some past tense words are uglier and complicated, but others are nicer on the eyes. If not I'll just go back through my work and put it all in past tense already, as much as I don't want to.

Well that was definitely an improvement from the last chapter, I actually really like the characterization you did with Calli here and her dialogue, while a little cringe in the beginning, was really entertaining to read and I enjoyed how you put in some of "real" Calli's personality through their talk

I think you hit the nail on the head with why Ame is popular in HoloEN stories, its because she's a perfect catalyst for the role of humanity in the world of the supernatural. A way for writers to give their thoughts on the best parts of humanity as a whole, to forget about the troubles and strife plaguing mankind for a moment and highlight what makes man so special. The argument with Ame and Calli at the end showcased that sentiment perfectly even if it wasn't perfect or foreshadowed that much.
I also really liked the little snippets of characterization from Anon every once in a while, how much the foundation changed him but he still vehemently believes in the potential of humanity. He shares a lot more in common with Ame than he lets on does he?
I also didn't expect Ollie to be part of the story, I figured it was obviously Rushia but Ollie was definitely a surprise, did HoloDeath have any say in your decision to include her?
Also, please for the love of god don't make a repeat of the previous chapter with Towa's personality. She deserves better.

It's not going to be a screed against how society is evil and bigoted, it won't be me telling the reader what they ought to believe, and more often than not, it'll be used as comic relief. Think of it less as something like writing in a "diversity" character and more like a character with a unique trait such as automail in fullmetal alchemist for example. It's interesting and there's points to touch on, but Edward's metal arm isn't the center thrust of the story, just a nice piece that ties it together.

I think what makes the story work is the ambiguity you put towards the end. The snuggling flips the story on its head and puts it into an alternate perspective. It's just enough to make the mind race and want more.
Any expansion, while potentially good in its own right, would lessen what made this so good.
