I think at this point nakirigumi are becoming more like Vocaloid "fans" - there is not actually a lot there. They just teally really like the design / voice a lot, and call themselves fans from watching a couple clips. They like the idea of the character. There but just a little whispy vapor left of Ayame these days (she is halfway retired IMO and hanging on for free money, I am simply resigned to this fact) and so the remaining fans are of the ultra casual variety who are fine with just a little trace of her compared to the volume of content from most other Holos. There is nothing wrong with that in theory as an easy come easy go thing, but I do think there is something messed up with whoever akasupas her still which absolutely is enabling this routine.

If everyone quit her membership and stopped donating something would finally change. Either she would just graduate proving she was hanging on for the free money, or actually start streaming again. At this point I just wanna see something change with her instead of be in this sham, a limbo.

Agree completely. I think that if it really came down to it she would just graduate because something had to have happened in between whenever and now to make her like this. There are some fairly old clips you can find of Ayame where she genuinely enjoys chatting with her fans, creating content, playing games (that aren't League), doing fun shit in 3D collabs etc. She's like a ghost now whenever she's on camera. Completely devoid of any emotions except the odd trademark giggle here and there.
