Corporate vtubers aren't exactly a new thing they've around a while. Hell Uzaki-chan is a vtuber and her videos get a million views so the idea has merit. Also if you've ever been to Japan then you'll realize the concept of vtubers have existed long before they started streaming. You'll find many kiosks throughout Japan with anime characters that interact with you and provide basic services.
