I get your what you're saying, but having an oshi has its benefits, if you want to enjoy the highest highs (and probably the lowest lows) you can experience in this hobby, being emotionally invested in a chuuba is the way. Call me a schizo but being able to watch my oshi's successes and hear her happiness when she achieves something or simply when she's having fun is probably the best feeling this vtuber thing has grant me, i'm not saying you can't experience it without an oshi, but having one makes these feelings much more intense
