Where would Hololive be right now without them?

>> No.13193862

gura would bthe #1 most subbed youtuber is the world, even sana the least popular member would have 10 million subscribers

>> No.13195922

>>13193828
Peh, they should thank Fubuki, Korone, and Coco for attracting their massive audiences

>> No.13196042

>>13193828
Gen 4(coco) really paved the way for holoEN to blossom, honestly gen 3 feels like when hololive really made the discinton about their talents, Pekora as lead comedian , Marine as ero lady, rushia as yandere bait, noel as menhara big boob lady and flare as token wife hololiveEN would still be popular but they'd be less popular because of gen3s bedrock

>> No.13196119

>>13193828
They'd have slightly less prestige without Pekora being the most viewed VTuber streamer and Marine getting all those sponsorships and CV roles. Maybe less rich without Rushia. Sadly NoeFlare don't really have big impacts despite both being good

>> No.13196131

>>13195922
This is the truth. Fubuki, Korone and Miko went viral with clips that made people aware that vtubers even existed. Then Coco got what would become the vshojo audience. Gen 3 are an influential group but not as much as people make them out to be.

>> No.13198519

>>13196131
FBK, Korone, Miko and Coco are what popularized Hololive in the west but COVER could have sustained itself just fine in Japan in with gen 3. Like before gen 3 they were just treading water with several of their talents struggling for double digit views. Without gen 3 who knows if we even get a gen 4.

Literally none of them matter except pekora

>> No.13198573

Only Marine and Pekor worth something, the other 3 are mid-tier at best. Rushia's crazy Gachikois don't count.

>> No.13198747

I still can't get it out of my head that gen 3 are a bunch of problematic little sisters. That make me love them more

why don't they count?

>> No.13198912

5g is superior to 3g so all of their numbers would have been made up there. Myth would still be myth.

>gura would bthe #1 most subbed youtuber is the world
Hololive itself combined right now isn't even the #1 subbed collection of YouTubers in the the world

>> No.13199010

>>13196131
Doesn't sound like you were actually around. The Asacoco boom happened before Korone got big and its significance was all about bringing in new Japanese fans and spreading them all around, not whatever you're saying there.

Pretty much what these anons said

However, after the new audiences have been introduced to hololive or vtubers in general the 3rd gen is by far the best at holding their audience and the sheer numbers are what attract more people in return.
Basically they needed to be kickstarted by others before their success train was able to truly get into motion. But since OP asked where Hololive would be without them, probably fine but smaller and with much more viewer retention overall.

About where they are now. Historically the big breakthroughs were Fubuki putting the brand on the map, Korone get clipped like crazy, Gura getting picked up by the algorithm, and arguably Calli's "Excuse My Rudeness, But Could You Please RIP?" depending on how important you think music is.

Pekora and Marine carry the momentum in Japan right now, but they aren't the ones who got the ball rolling with any audience. Others made space, and they happened to be the ones to fill it.

Gen 3 is when they went for the unicorns and stopped leeching niji. They would be about the same as niji is now and holostars would probably be able to collab with holos.
