I second this one, it's delightfully campy in an innocent way. There's an MST3K episode on it, pretty sure anything they've ever watched is public domain and watchable on twitch. Nelson has movie nights with public domain movies regularly, so you could get some suggestions from him. There's several public domain films by Roger Corman, I can confirm that he makes quality schlock.

It would probably take about 3.5 hours to read, so not very long. I always do some voice acting in my reading streams. The novella is divided into five staves, though a stream for each of those would be very short. I could try to have different backgrounds for each scene, but at that point it's more like staging a play. There are stage play versions of A Christmas Carol, but if I was doing that, I'd want to do it properly with other chuubas as actors, and I don't have the time or mental capacity to organize a second large project right now.

I think adding backgrounds and some light sound effects could go a long way to making the story more engrossing. I always like to keep the text on screen for anyone who wants to see it, but that still leaves half the screen for nice backgrounds.

Reminder to never get discouraged when you have low days when not many people show up.
