Outside of a handful of big names, most VAs are unable to support themselves by only being a VA; what's more, the rise of the whole seiyuu idol phenomenon in recent years has made things even more difficult. Unless you're well-established or young with a sufficiently marketable appearance, it's difficult to get anywhere as a female VA these days. I hope Gibara has a plan B for when her VA dreams invariably don't pan out.
