It's not even "restoring" dislikes, iirc once public dislikes are wiped from the API completely, that application is just going to tally up the dislike counter from the last recorded value + the amount of EXTENSION users who pressed the dislike button after that date. It'll probably be fine for vids released before that time, but for new vids released after, it'll just be a circlejerk of the extension users, not accurately representing the entire viewerbase.
