Why doesn't Holo EN try to collab with big JPs like Marine, Pekora, Rushia or Aqua? It's all IDs and ghetto chuubas like Mel and Roboco recently.
Is management afraid that they will say something stupid and cause a big yab?

I also feel like hololive is very lunch room clique like where hololive EN is literally the group of kids whose primary language isn't the same as the majority of the school, yeah you get one who is more fluent and tries to cross the social lines, Kiara in this case, but it never really changes the fact they are seen and treated differently. Collab games are mainly low key zatsudans. If you can't talk to the other person, you can leverage that more as a learning opportunity given that you know some basic knowledge of that language. If you have watched any great collabs, they are great because of the spontaneous interactions. You can't do that if the other person literally doesn't answer back because they don't understand you. MoonaxPekora works because Pekora and her chat are quite fast to help her. Moona and her chat is the same as well. This can be the same with MorixKorone and KiaraxAnyJpHolo. Nobody wants to look stupid. Mel collbas with En because she has been actively taking lessons in Engliah so she's more keen to look for people to talk to in English. This is really not about opportunity. They are all doing well as far as viewership and SCs. This is mainly about concern in showing a good enough streaming content.

Believable up until the ID part. The ID girls have proven they collab with who they please and no manager will reject them.

The real reason is a mix of letting EN grow on their own and only 2 of the ENs coincidentally the ones who have done the most JP collabs Ina and Kiara can speak enough Japanese for a proper collab. The Coco and Hacchama block is somewhat to avoid Chinese antis and also because those 2 talentes were trying to insert themselves into a brand new generation without permission. It wasn't intentional but it is kind of a dick move to force yourselves in and show up your kouhais as soon as they debut.

The reason we even had that AmeMel collab is because Mel holds cover by the balls and they are in no position to tell her no.
