I agree that sometimes upgrading the model doesn't actually improve things. Like for example, I think hololive chose not to upgrade Pekora because they were scared of spoiling a good thing.

But at the same time, OP has a very good point. With the amount of resources that hololive has in comparison, it's shocking how little of it gets reinvested into the talents. Most of it seems to be getting poured into this gacha game stuff.
