I'm actually hoping for that too. Getting 2 winners of previous cup in one group makes races too predictable. Like Pekora said, if she focuses on waiting for the right moment while best 3 are sabotaging each other she might have very very little chance. Ideally for me it is Pekora, Gura and Towa qualifying, since Gura seems to be practicing and getting better, but I don't think it's going to happen.

I agree that this is probably the only real hope the others in the group have. Aqua will definitely want revenge for the last tournament, especially since she lost by 1 point. If Suisei and Aqua, maybe even Towa, are focused on each other because they're the biggest competition it might give leeway for someone else to cause an upset by placing in the top 3 of the group (hopefully Peko).
I still think it's unlikely though. Both Suisei and Aqua are pretty vigiliant of other racers and regularly look behind them when they're in the lead.

eh.. In the Undyne fight she gets the option to heal a lot. The final part of the Sans fight you don't have an option to heal since it's just non-stop chaining of patterns. Add to that you don't get invincibility frames like you do vs Undyne.

My point is more that if the goal is to practice p1 to get to a point where you take minimal dmg at the start since it has some of the easier patterns. Using items in mid-late p1 should be okay but only a limited amount. The goal is to reach p2 with a lot of healing after all.
