To preface: I'm not insecure enough to care that my favorite entertainer has relationships. Obviously I can't speak for idolfags and the whole virtual girlfriend faggotry, but those guys make up enough of Hololive's fanbase so their opinion probably weighs more than mine.

That said, if it's under the name "Calliope Mori" then I don't give a fuck what she does. But this is a career, this is her job. If you stop working for your contracted company to go do a personal project for a week, that is legitimately threatening your career, but I imagine she's talked extensively with management enough to know that's okay. One time at the start of her career might fly as a gimme, but if it becomes a regular issue, and starts interfering with your existing contract, you are legitimately putting your career on the line. Not to mention that it's not like she's a complete unknown, 90% of anyone that sees D6 on stage is going to know who she is. Job, yes but her career would be more in line with her music and while Hololive is definitely a very strong help and standing point for her there is no way that she can simply just drop everything and focus squarely on streaming and vtubing. The thing about vtubing, as with most youtube related job, is that they’re volatile as it sound. I don't know about the entertainment industry but usually when you work for a company, yes that is exactly what you do. You don't put time in elsewhere if it directly interferes with your responsibilities to the company you work for. I want to take a quick reminder that reason alone is why most of the JP members joined Hololive in the first place. Subaru straight up admit that she joined Holo was because she just wanted a job and they were hiring. Calli on the otherhand doesn’t seem like someone who just will up and abandon her duty since outside of contractual obligation she seem to take a lot of pride and her dedication to her work regardless. It took her like months to quit her other shitty job even after she started raking in the money and she actually seems like she like the people she work with, the awkwardness she shows when she stream with the rest of the EN members. Sub count is a fun thing to celebrate and all that bit its not the end all in their work. Half the JPs have lesser subs than the ENs and most of them make twice, even thrice the money. AzKI might not have huge subs but she has huge musical presence within Hololive, as does Sora. Hell, just because Kizuna Ai’s popularity has died down desn’t mean she’s still big and just because Nijisanji isn’t as well known compare to Hololive right now doesn’t mean they don’t hugely dominate their home base. Most of the subs you don’t even know if they’re just pump and dump account made by samefags to want to boost or just empty subs along for the ride. Regardless, its not the number of subs but the dedicated fanbase that’s to be made from it which is why Rushia is number 2 in Supas while only being about half of Gura’s subcount.
