Getting over it relies much more on transient response and reacting to subtle conditions on the fly, so it's easier to make subtle corrections. Jump king is a bit more static, where each jump is fire and forget.

It's also far more reliable for actions. Just holding a button and release is very easy to time.
The entire mechanics of mouse movement tends to be far less able to be repeated perfectly meaning in Getting Over It you're likely to never have exactly the same jump twice.
