I don't know why, but since I started listening to VTuber ASMR my response to "normal" ASMR changed. I'm using it as background noise, when I don't want to listen to music. If I get tingles, it's a bonus for me. I cannot understand what Okayu is saying, but the noises the does sometimes trigger me and then I can lean back for a small break focusing on her.
She "recently" went more on the GFE route with closeness and some kissing sounds. I might find myself keen on that, because it's Okayu and I "know" her.
Ear cleaning and brushing is something that must be done very well with the right atmosphere to work. Someone told me, that Japanese people really love these sounds and they're easy to produce. That's probably why it's an easy accessible trigger many artist use.

Me too. She needs the right pace to change the trigger. Recently Bae did a GFE roleplay which I would call subliminal ASMR. No real triggers but I got hooked and started fantasizing the situation. I would say, it had a good timing in changing the situation. No too long so I becomes boring, not too short so it feels rushed.
I know from Fubuki, that she usually has some objects around like a drink with ice cubes or even juicy fruits. She's not very good at actual triggering, but still makes it enjoyable.
On the other hand, Roboco has made a bunch of ASMR videos, but these are more like soft spoken zatsudans.
Call it criticism on a high level.

I don't get tingles at all so I just use them to relax or to let chuubas whisper sweet nothings into my ear. I also like using them when doing my reps but mostly the ones I don't care much about because I'm not really paying attention during studies so it's whatever. I do wish chuubas would try more triggers from regular asmrtists though. Zeitgeist or Coroma Sara have good variety/inspiration on more possibilities.
