I mean, they hit 100000 subs (or abouts there) before ever streaming. That's almost literally what you're describing.

Their sub increases were massively amplified by the hololive branding engine. Just compare their hololive growth rates to the growth rates of their pre-hololive vtuber numbers, where applicable. Literally the exact same streamer is growing in weeks what took multiple years on old accounts. If it was primarily due to talent and not hololive corporate reach, you should be seeing at least a significant fraction of the growth rate on their old channels, while they were still active.

I'm by no means arguing that the hololive girls are talentless. What he was saying is that with the magnitude of hololive's branding power, even a mediocre or poor streamer could achieve incredible numbers. To reiterate: They were approaching 100000s before they even had their first stream. How would that not be considered success in the streaming world? That's gotta put you in the top 0.1% of vtubers, at least.
