I don't want to ditch on Vei because I don't think that she is as bad as she comes off and that it was a combination of factors that has led to the current state of viewership. Yet at the same time, no, Vei can be creative and witty but isn't consistent with it. Honestly, I think It's because vtubing became a literal job for her; apparently, it became a major source of income for her Family and it would make sense that the pressure of that turned it into drudgery for her. It's a shame she couldn't properly redirect that into making her streaming even higher-caliber. It seems like she tried with some of the VRchat streams but couldn't keep the pace. Ironically, so many People hate on her for getting involved with Soda but then, interacting with him has bought back her enthusiasm for streaming. So she probably leaned into it when fans started getting parasocial and irate with them for not reading between the lines on this.
Then Lily redebued and Vei made a genuine mistake where instead of embracing the potential for collabs and considering her voice an homage if it is indeed in imitation. The way Lily handled that shows the difference between the two of them though. Lily is an easy-going person who will laugh things off rather then let them get to her and just kept doing what she does without being at all phased by the rivalry and didn't play into any drama.
