The problem was Mori gave in to dealing directly with shittalkers, validating them by letting them know they're indeed getting under her skin.

Kiara was also originally vilified for shit she had not actually done or was slated to supposedly do but actually Mori is the one who brought in all the worst fears people had about a Western Holo branch - forcing eceleb shit and overall entitled Western attitudes of cultural appropriation/flippant ignorance of Holo or the fans. Hence a lot of Mori fans are just solely Mori fans and not actual overall Holo fans, that reflects how she herself is.
