They aren't part of the Western scene. Their primary audience is SEA and chinks, which is made blindingly obvious by their content, chat, and stream times. If anything I think they slightly hurt it because randos checking out male vtubers are often going to check out the most popular ones and be confronted with chats from Vox's cumdump asking him to spit in her mouth and him obliging. It's the hardest filter for a western audience I can imagine.
